Rugby, Daventry and Northampton-based medical firm claims national award for community impact.

East Midlands-based Turtle Medical has been awarded Best Community Impact at the prestigious BizX 2026, recognising the company’s outstanding commitment to combining commercial success with meaningful, life-saving community initiatives.

Now in its 15th year, delivered by ActionCOACH, held at ICC Wales and hosted by broadcasting legend Kirsty Gallacher, the BizX awards are a highlight of the UK business calendar – celebrating organisations leading with clarity, purpose and results.

Turtle Medical secured the award for demonstrating exactly what Best Community Impact represents: profit and purpose working hand in hand.

Beyond manufacturing life-saving emergency medical equipment, Turtle Medical has led groundbreaking initiatives to improve public safety across the UK. The company funded and built the country’s first national bleed kit mapping platform, Bleed Map, helping transform public bleed control into a coordinated and accessible safety network.

Through the deployment of more than 12,000 bleed control kits, over £50,000 donated to community and charity initiatives and the delivery of free public training, Turtle Medical was noted by the judges for creating measurable, real-world impact.

Also standing out was how the business has gone beyond traditional corporate responsibility to build a nationwide safety infrastructure.
