ActionCOACH UK raises over £70,000 for children’s charities in honour of Kent Rhodes
Every year, coaches and franchise partners from across the ActionCOACH UK community come together for a challenge that means far more than just miles covered or mountains climbed. The annual fundraising event was created to honour the legacy of Kent Rhodes, a much-loved member of the ActionCOACH family whose passion for giving back continues to inspire everyone who knew him.
This year’s challenge once again brought the community together in support of two vital causes. Children with Cancer UK and the ActionCOACH UK Foundation, raising the total fundraised amount to over £70,000 since the initiative began.
Honouring Kent Rhodes: A legacy of leadership, heart & service
Kent Rhodes was more than a coach. He was a mentor, a friend, and a shining example of what it means to lead with both ambition and compassion. After his passing in 2018, the ActionCOACH UK family decided to honour him in a way that reflected his values: by uniting people, pushing personal limits, and making a positive difference to children’s lives.
Every hike, every peak, every donation pays tribute to Kent’s commitment to helping others grow, thrive and overcome challenges.
The 2023 challenge: Three Peaks, one purpose
This year (2023), franchise partners and members of the UK support team took on the formidable Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, a 12-hour endurance test covering 24 miles and climbing Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
It was physically demanding, emotionally powerful, and brought the ActionCOACH ethos of community, perseverance and purpose to life.
