The Leadership Circle

MasterCLASS

Hosted by: Alan Smith

Let's set the scene...

Learning

Legendary sports coach Frank Dick says that "a winning culture is based on a learning culture".

And as a leader of your business it's YOUR responsibility to set the example for your people.

Humble

One of the values of arguably the best sporting team ever - the All Blacks - is humility. They call it "Sweep The Sheds".

So what is humility?

"having a modest, realistic view of yourself, acknowledging your strengths and limitations without arrogance..."

"and recognizing the value in others, fostering openness, a willingness to learn, and focusing on something greater than oneself rather than personal glory..."

"It's a sign of inner strength, not weakness, enabling growth and better relationships by being receptive to feedback and considering others' perspectives."

Humble Learners

The best leaders I've known are "humble learners"

They have the curiosity to learn, the hunger to take action to grow and the confidence to back themselves.

Is that YOU?

Our Community

Within my own client community, I'm inspired everyday by the results you are achieving. And as important as the results are (and they are!) I look at these as the 'outputs' of a collection of 'inputs'. These inputs are the strategies, tactics, decisions and actions you execute with and through your teams, everyday.

There'll be things you've done which have worked ridiculously well. And I'll bet there have been things that didn't!

There'll be things you find easy and some things you find hard.

There'll be some things at which you are masterful, and some things that you don't even know about let alone know how to do.

Let's face it, none of us have got it sorted. We're all trying our very best to do our very best.

So what if we came together every quarter, with like-minded leaders to learn and grow together? A place where we can challenge and support one another?

A Supportive Peer-to-Peer Environment

In a safe environment where we could:

Share best practice - literally showing examples and talking each other through what, how and why you've implemented things in your business

Ask for input - to ask your fellow leaders for tips, ideas and watch-outs for situations you may be experiencing

Make commitments - a commitment made publicly (to a trusted group) is often just the accountability we all need

Owning and leading a business can be lonely. But it doesn't have to be!

If you're like any other leader I know, when you've talked to owners or leaders in other businesses you'll very likely have thought

"they're going through exactly the same as me".

Yes, the business might be different from yours but that chances are many of the situations you face in business are not unique. They're actually very common.

The Leadership Circle is where this all happens.

It's a half-day event (breakfast/lunch depending upon timings) and refreshments throughout

There'll be 2-3 formal "Best Practice" shares from members, effectively teaching from the front to stimulate group discussion

We'll have "Mastermind" sessions in which everyone will have the opportunity to ask for input to a situation you need help with

We'll wrap up with "Actions" where you'll be required to commit to taking action on what you've learned (and be held accountable at the next event)

You'll have fun, you'll be inspired, you'll grow and you and your business will become even better than it is today!
