5 Signs Your Business Needs a Coach

5 Signs Your Business Needs a Coach

In Hampstead, you'll see businesses run by people who care deeply about what they do. Many of those owners are also working longer hours than they ever planned to, carrying everything on their own shoulders.

I know that feeling well. I ran my own businesses for around 10 years before becoming a business coach, and there were plenty of moments when I needed someone in my corner and didn't realise it. Now I work with business owners across Hampstead, Swiss Cottage and North London. These are the five signs I see most often.

1. The business can't run without you

If you can't take a day off without your phone ringing, your business depends on you rather than working for you. This is one of the main areas I see, the business is growing, but you haven't had time to switch off.

2. You're busy, but profit isn't growing

A full diary and a packed shop feel like success. But if the numbers at the end of the month haven't moved, something in pricing, costs or systems needs a closer look.

3. The same problems keep coming back

Staff turnover, cashflow squeezes, the same customer complaints. When you keep fixing the same things, the real issue usually sits underneath.

4. You're reacting, not planning

When did you last sit down and plan the next 3, 9 and 12 months? If every week is spent putting out fires, there's no time to steer.

5. You're not sure what's next

Growth, a second site, selling up one day? If you don't have a clear answer, a coach can help you work out what you want and build the plan to get there.

Where to start

If two or more of these sound familiar, you're not alone. Most of the owners I speak to recognise at least three.

I offer business coaching in Hampstead, Belsize Park, Swiss Cottage, Camden, Primrose Hill, Kentish Town, Tufnell Park, Highgate, Bloomsbury and Holborn. If you'd like a no-pressure chat about where your business is right now
